"The Hong Kong 47" Trial

The "Hong Kong 47" case involves 47 democratic activists from Hong Kong who were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit subversion under the Hong Kong National Security Law in 2021. 45 of them were convicted and found guilty earlier in May this year

Citizens lined up outside the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts to witness the landmark case of the "Hong Kong 47". Among those lining up were friends and supporters who wanted to show solidarity with the pro-democracy activists “quietly". Under the current political climate of Hong Kong, there was heavy police presence monitoring the scene.
